Which devices does Chatwise run on?

Chatwise is a universal app for iPhone, iPad, and Mac.

Do I need an internet connection?

On-device chat and flashcard review work offline. Cloud AI providers and course pack downloads require an internet connection.

Do I need to create an account?

No. Chatwise has no sign-up. Your data is stored on your device and, if you enable it, synced through your own iCloud account.

How do I use my own AI provider?

Open Settings → Providers, add an OpenAI-compatible endpoint or OpenRouter, and paste in your API key. It's stored securely in your device's Keychain.

How does spaced repetition work in Learn?

Chatwise schedules flashcard reviews using FSRS-6, an algorithm that adapts to how well you know each card so you spend time on what you're about to forget, not what you already know.

How do I report a bug or request a feature?

Email support@chatwise.fyi with as much detail as you can — your device model, iOS/macOS version, and steps to reproduce the issue.

How do I delete my data?

Delete individual chats, decks, or courses from within the app, or uninstall the app to remove everything stored locally. See our Privacy Policy for details.
